PAUL MATHERI KAHIGA

Senior Managing Partner

Paul Matheri Kahiga is currently the Senior Managing Partner of the firm tasked with the administration of the firm as well as Clients’ care. He is in Charge of the Real estate & Conveyancing Department. He studied at Moi University School of Law where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of law degree. He then proceeded to the Kenya School of Law for an Advocates Training Programme leading to the conferment of a post graduate diploma in 2004. He was admitted to the Bar on 29th July 2004 by the late Chief Justice Hon Evans Gicheru.  

He has previously worked as an advocate at Magee & Magee Advocates, before he opened his own private practice in the year 2007.

He has immense years of experience in General Litigation, Probate and Administration and Conveyancing. 

Paul, alias P.M, believes in team work and that the sky is just but the floor.

Relevant Experience

Paul is an experienced and fierce Litigation Lawyer who has vast experience having represented major corporate and individual clients in complex litigation ranging from, amongst others, Insurance Companies, Universities, Banks, County Governments and Large Manufacturing Companies. As a Litigator he has handled a wide range of contentious disputes in complex civil, commercial and criminal matters where he has continuously manifested his wide mastery of Employment and Labour relations, Debt recovery, Constitutional and Administrative law, Insurance law, Banking law, Family law, Succession law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Land law.

He is a charismatic leader, articulate and keen to detail. His commitment and dedication to provide our clients with innovative solutions to their legal problems is unmatched which makes him an invaluable asset to the Firm.

In the past he has successfully:

  • Successfully offered legal representation in court to a major Kenyan based soft drinks manufacturer in a construction dispute between the Client and the Private Contractor.
  • Represented a University in various class suits in the Employment Courts.
  • Successfully prosecuted land disputes to include; eviction of illegal trespassers, specific performance of sale agreements, Claim under Customary Trust and adverse possession.
  • Defended and prosecuted claims on behalf of reputable Insurance Companies and Banks in various Courts all over the Country.
  • Proffered legal opinions before, during and after Litigation.
  • Represented a County Government in multiple suits ranging from Constitutional Petitions, Land disputes, Employment disputes and commercial disputes.

Pauline Mukami Boore

Managing Partner

Pauline is a co-Managing  Partner of the Firm and currently heads the Commercial Division and Alternative Dispute Resolution Division .She has a strong bias to corporate commercial litigation practice as well as mediation and arbitration. She has in her previous engagements represented banks, companies and government institutions and successfully so. She studied at Moi University School of Law and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in law in 2007. She then proceeded to the Kenya School of Law where she undertook an Advocates Training Programme and conferred with a Post Graduate Diploma, thereafter she was trained and accredited as a Certified Professional Mediator at MTI East Africa.

Pauline was admitted to the Bar in 2014 and prior to joining the firm, she was previously engaged at MBIGI NJUGUNA & Co. Advocates and the Legal Department at the ABSA (previously Barclays bank of Kenya) in Nairobi. She thereafter served in the Judiciary of Kenya as a Legal Researcher based at Murang’a Law Courts where she clerked for several Judges of the High Court of Kenya. 

Pauline, alias Ms. Mukami, is meticulous, keen to details and is a cheer leader in the firm and gives us the energy to forge head even on very challenging assignment

Relevant Experience

Pauline is a seasoned commercial law lawyer with a vast experience in banking law having served as an in-house lawyer for an international bank (ABSA Bank) with expertise in debt recovery. Her Litigation skills are above board having had the benefit of being part of both the bench and bar. As a litigator she has handled a wide range of contentious disputes in land matters, research, commercial and criminal matters where she has at all times manifested a good grasp of land law, Debt recovery, Banking law, Constitutional, Administrative law,  Family law and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Land law.

In the past she has successfully;

  • Successfully managed the secured bad debts portfolio for Barclays Bank of Kenya now ABSA Bank by applying innovative debt recovery initiatives with exemplary results.
  • Carried out extensive research for various the High Judges at the Judiciary of Kenya in all areas of law in our local jurisdictions and international law.
  • Represented independent clients in various suits in the Employment Courts.
  • Successfully prosecuted land disputes to include; eviction of illegal trespassers, specific performance of sale agreements, Claim under Customary Trust and adverse possession.
  • Defended and prosecuted claims on behalf of reputable Cooperative Societies and Banks in various Courts all over the Country.
  • Offered professional legal advice before, during and after Litigation.

She has membership in the Law Society of Kenya, East African Law Society and the Mediation Training Institute International, East Africa.
